I replaced my Dell Latitude tablet with this Samsung notebook because I wanted a compact and lightweight laptop with at least 6 hours battery life. I am very pleased with this little guy. The size is great, the screen size, although small, is still larger than its Acer counterpart.
First, I immediately upgraded from 1GB to 2GB with memory I purchased on Amazon (another review), and also installed MS Office 2003. As far as for RAM, I have no problem running my MS Office Apps and toggling back and forth on the internet. Prior to this purchase, I have always owned Dell notebooks and desktops; however, this is by far the easiest to update using Samsung's update application. The only thing I did not like was how the built-in software partitioned the harddrive from 1 160GB to 2 80GB drives (C+D). Other than that, I am pleased that the netbook works as intended and the battery life is great. I average about 6 hours easily (not sure about the 8hrs advertised).
