Pros:

I visited my local electronics store and had some hands-on time with the netbooks from asus, hp, acer and msi. I was very disappointed when I tried playing videos from hulu[...] and gametrailers[...]. The videos were choppy. The only videos that would play were the standard YouTube videos.

After reading endless reviews on amazon, and other sites, the samsung was the one I decided to give as a present for my mom. It was important to me that the netbook have a 10" screen, 160 HDD, full keyboard, and above all the longest battery life.

My mom loved it. Even with the 6-cell battery, the laptop still seemed lighweight, and the battery is designed in such a way that you don't notice it (it doesn't stick out).

Windows XP runs fast on this netbook. Opening programs and windows is quick.

Again I was surprised to see smooth playback of HD videos from gametrailers[...]. Right now the battery icon on the taskbar shows 93% or 5 hr 53 min.

You won't go wrong with this samung nc10.

I suggest after updating mcafee, uninstall it and download avira antivir personal free edition. This is the best antivirus

I partitioned my drive c it 25 GB and drive d with the rest. I'll be installing the programs on drive d.
